I authorize the use of anesthesia and other medication as deemed necessary by the veterinarian and understand that hospital personnel will be employed in the procedure(s) as directed by the veterinarian. *

I understand also that there is always a risk associated with any anesthesia episode, even in apparently healthy animals and I have discussed my concerns with the veterinarian. Baby Teeth

At approximately 6 months of age, most cats and dogs typically have lost all baby teeth which have been replaced by the adult teeth. In some cases, especially small or toy breed dogs, the adult tooth has erupted, but the baby tooth is still present. These retained teeth can cause significant dental problems down the road. It is recommended, at the time of spay and neuter to have these retained baby teeth removed as the pet is already under anesthesia. If upon exam, we find that your pet has retained teeth, would you like us to remove them. The additional cost will range between $50.-$150 depending on how many teeth need to be extracted. *
